Working for Bungie has been nothing short of a childhood dream come to life. Being part of a smaller team allows me the unique opportunity to work closer with the developers. Bungie puts a heavy emphasis on everyone having a voice, even QA. During and after playtests we are frequently asked for feedback form the devs on gameplay aspects, art direction, sound, and everything else that makes the game feel better. We are also encouraged to pay the game, in fact every Friday during work hours everyone is encouraged to play their retail account either with employees or friends outside of work. 

Job & Responsibilities 

QA Contract Generalist - PS4, PC, XB1, Stadia

  • Communicating with developers, producers, analysts, artists, and designers on early builds to work out bugs from features

  • Prototype map testing

  • Prototype mechanic testing

  • Date specific/time offset map testing 

  • Utilizing init files to update command lines in game

  • Regressing bugs created by both devs and other testers

  • Participating in coordinated Playtests with the developers for the current feature

  • Providing feedback to developers to improve player experience 

  • Reading Changelists to check for new features or alterations that may affect testing 

  • Participating in weekly stand-ups

  • Investigating and writing up live bugs discovered by players
